Re: OWC Mercury Pro OWCMR3UKIT -  I got the Plextor PX-716A to fit with no millimeters to spare, having a simple IDE -> SATA adapter in there before the SATA->USB-adapter in the enclosure. I had to flip the OWC's backplate and move the SATA->USB-adapter away from its sockets, but since it fit so snuggly due to the Plextor having the perfect size, it worked pretty well.

Innostor IS611 initilsation issue

Have other people experienced an issue where sometimes adapters using this chipset don't initialise properly? Are there better alternatives to it these days? --Hiccup 20:39, 28 March 2026 (CET)
